So the seniors also got to have some fun with the dance activity days. They worked really hard and produced some lovely work. They had a lot of new choreography thrown at them, sometimes in dance styles they are not familiar with but their attack and focus was just amazing.
We had such a nice time over the summer at our dance activity days. The pupils were all super, and worked so hard. It was nice to meet new faces and catch up with familiar ones.
We were excited to meet a new teacher Miss Shannon and have our wonderful Lauren return to teach us some new moves. Lots of fun was had by all. The children learnt a mixture of commercial, contemporary, ballet rep, body conditioning, tricks and skills, tap fusion… it was a busy couple of days.
Here is a short video of what we got up to over the two days…
As many of you will know last term one of our pupils was very poorly and needed lots of help form Addenbrookes Childrens Hospital to recover. (Luckily she is now fine and back to her usual sparkly self!) We decided to help Addenbrookes fundraise for their new children hospital to say a thank you for helping one of our dancers and because if any of our little people go badly wrong this is one of the places that will offer them special care. A really brilliant cause basically! So, on the 31st August 2019 we meet at the Central Hall in Wymondham and did SIX HOURS of dancing. With the help of two brilliant ex professional dancers Phill Oermond and Georgia Long we ran classes offering musical theatre, street dance and contemporary non stop. A huge well done to everyone that took part – a special shout out to all the parents who were brave enough to join in, you were brilliant – and thank you to everyone who donated!
